At our September meeting, New York State Assemblyman Fred Thiele, spoke about some State funds being available for the Montauk Hwy. corridor and putting caps on the sales tax increases on gasoline prices that were caused by hurricane Katrina.

Third Annual Golf Outing

The 3rd Annual William Floyd Community Summit Golf Outing will take place on Friday,  October  7, 2005.  Thanks to the sponsorship and participation at our previous golf outings,  we have been able to continue the many fine programs that the Summit engages in to improve the quality of life in the community of Mastic, Mastic Beach, Moriches and Shirley.  Some of these programs include beautification projects to enhance the appearance of our community.  you the services projects that provide social and recreational opportunities to our youth projects to address pressing quality of life issues; and efforts to promote the cultural and historical aspects of our wonderful community by operating a tourist center.

Colonial Youth Community Volunteer Corps.......Oct. 12, 2005

Dear Friends:

I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to a recognition ceremony for participants of Colonials Community Volunteer Corps which is supported by Community Development funds. There will be a special recognition for students who have contributed two hundred fifty (250) and one hundred (100) hours of community service.

WOULD YOU LIKE TO SHOW-OFF SOME OF THOSE GREAT RECIPES?  WHETHER FROM GRANDMA OR YOUR OWN,

The William Floyd School District is proud to host its 1st Annual Bake-Off Contest.  All proceeds from the Rental of Tables(s) will go towards the 2005-2006 WFSD Scholarships. 

 

Tables can be rented as follows:  $25.00 for 1 Table  &  $45.00 for 2 Tables

 

Rules: Only Home Baked Goods (DESSERTS) can be sold.  No Flea Market or Craft Fair itens can be sold at your table(s).

             Each participant will keep the profits from the sales of Home Baked Goods.

             Judging will take place according to number of entries received. 

 

All Applications & Checks (made out to Wm. Floyd H.S. PTSO) must be received by Fri., Oct. 21, 2005. 

They can be dropped off at your School PRO mailbox or mailed to:
