F.A.Q. (Frequently Asked Questions) Q. Are Chamber of Commerce meetings open to the public? When and where are the meetings held? The Chamber's general meetings are open to the public. Meetings are at 7:00PM on the second Monday of each month at Ladakins Restaurant. A complete list of our meetings for 2010 can be viewed by choosing "Meetings and Events" on the Main Menu. --- Q. I am interested to learn about your upcoming events. Do you have any events for exhibitors? We would be interested to sponsor your events as an exhibitor/vendor. A. We did a local trade show a couple of years ago (may 2006) and some details and photos are available on our website if you click on "Sponsored Events" and scroll down to May. We tried to organize another for last october, but the deal fell through due to problems arranging for a suitable location. Keep checking the chamber homepage and the "Meeting and Events" page for updates, and for an idea of the kinds of events we usually organize and promote. --- Q. I would appreciate it if you could please let me know where the holiday parade starts and ends so we know where to go to see it. All I know is that it is on Montauk Hwy at 12 pm on Sunday. A. The parade route starts at the Kohl's shopping center and goes east, with each group of participants stopping briefly at the grandstand accross from the post office. Groups then proceed east to Herkimer street, and then south to the Mastic Firehouse, where the parade ends. --- Q. When was the Chamber of Commerce founded? What is the history of the organization.
