WILLIAM FLOYD ESTATE                                     

Join a Ranger for a guided tour of the William Floyd Estate. Learn about the home of a signer of the Declaration of Independence and the eight generations of his family who lived on this Long Island estate. From Memorial Day weekend through the last weekend in October, tours are offered Friday, Saturday and Sunday. First tour begins at 11:00 am and last tour begins at 4:30 pm. Reservations are required for groups of 12 people or more; call (631)399-2030.

Directions:   Take I-495 or Route 27 to William Floyd Parkway south. Turn left on Neighborhood Road and follow signs to the Estate.

THE SMITH POINT BEACH

SOUTHAVEN PARK                                       

Hiking,camping, picnicking, freshwater fishing, rowboat rentals, canoeing, hunting, the LI Steamers, bridle paths, and an equestrian center

Directions: From Sunrise Hwy, take exit 58 north. As you enter Wm. Floyd Pkwy, prepare to turn west onto Victory Ave. Follow signs to main entrance to park.

THE CALABRO AIRPORT                            ...one of the finest general aviation facilities in the Northeast....the Brookhaven Calabro Airport also serves as host to a Balloon & Music Festival (in mid-August);  an Antique Airplane Fly-In (in early September)  and a custom car show (in early June). The Airport also offers a luncheonette and ample, free parking.

Directions:   From the LIE - Exit 68 South (Wm. Floyd Parkway/Smith Point Park); Left on Dawn Drive leads directly into main entrance. From Sunrise Hwy - Exit 58 North (Wm. Floyd Parkway); right turn on Dawn Drive.
