Our purpose and mission is to unify the voice of the communities of Mastic, Mastic Beach, Moriches and Shirley through a continuing commitment to the following goals:
1. Improve the reputation of the community both internally and externally
2. Improve the quality of life for all residents in the community
3. Create unity and open communication among all residents
4. Provide an open forum for all community groups and encourage participation in community affairs by individual residents
5. Enhance the influence of Mastic, Mastic Beach, Shirley and MorichesVISION STATEMENT
HISTORICAL COMMITTEETo stress and promote the rich historical attributes of the community
BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE
To create an environment that will enhance the quality of life, business appeal and property values in the tri-hamlet area
CULTURAL ARTS COMMITTEE
To enrich the lives of our residents via music, art, drama, dance and literature
FINANCIAL AND REDEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE
To improve the reputation of the community to ensure that Mastic, Mastic Beach, Moriches and Shirley are places people will want to live and raise their families; and to help obtain the necessary funding so that the goals of the summit can be met
GOVERNANCE COMMITTEE
To provide the structure and process for the William Floyd Community Summit to carry out its mission
QUALITY OF LIFE/CODE ENFORCEMENT COMMITTEE
To work to ensure a better quality of life for all residents in the community by considering issues of housing, safety and health
YOUTH SERVICES COMMITTEE
To create awareness of services available to our youth; to create more activities and resources for our young people
PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE
To disseminate information to the community and media concerning the Summit's accomplishments and positive happenings within the community
